Yesterday my sister and I decided to take a Pole Dancing Fitness class. It was awesome. It wasn't just about being all slutty dancing on a pole. It's a really intense workout. There were a bunch of women of all shapes and sizes, so we weren't afraid of letting our fat hang out. I was a little intimidated by some of the moves at first, but was surprised to find that I could actually do some of them. I know what your thinking, if these fat bitches can do it then I can too, and let me tell you YES YOU CAN. Omg I sound like Obama now. Anyway, its a great workout resembling more cirque du soleil moves then stripper moves. It was very empowering, and I will for sure be back for more.
Anyways, after my intense workout yesterday, I woke up today with my arms feeling like jello, barely able to pick up Mason, and I have bruises all over my body. But hey, no pain no gain right? I told you I was committed to my KettleWorx and I am. I fought through the pain and I did it. I'll be honest with you, I didn't do it full out, but I did it to the best of my ability. I'm super sore and beat, but I feel so accomplished.
I'm not dropping a ton of weight, which kinda bums me out, just a little bit, but I feel soooooo much stronger!!! I don't struggle carrying my weight around or carrying my son around. I love it.
My muscles are getting huge too. I've never been this strong in my life. Even when I was 140lbs I was a weak 140. I remember hearing, before I started working out, how people would workout and NOT loose weight, and I thought to myself, what a waste of time. Now I know, it's not a waste of time. Staying motivated and consistent makes me want to do more, and not just to change the number on the scale, but to keep this feeling of accomplishment.
I also want to remind everyone, I didn't start by working out 6 days a week. I do my KettleWorx 3 days a week, 20min a day. I honestly believe anyone can fit this in their busy schedule. It's only because I'm feeling so much better that decided to take a class, and I truly feel like doing more because, believe it our not, I'm starting to enjoy working out. Omg I can't believe I just said that, but it's true!!
